Subject:Farewell Ray!

Hi Ray, First of all may I wish you a very happy retirement. I am sure despite everything that you will miss the buzz of the stage. Although I live in Manchester I made it to Leeds earlier in the tour on S S S S with Dave, Peter %26 all the gang. You were as always on top form that day. I may now have to catch you again before you call it a day. I have been enthralled with your band down the years and take many memories. A good show at Halifax a few years ago with an all Merseyside line up springs to mind. Take care and enjoy your re-tirement and let`s be fair after 53 years you bloody well deserve it. Thank you for all the years. God bless you.

Tony

Hi Ray, Happy birthday for today. Wow what a shock. You are retiring at the end of the month. Well, you deserve a long and restful retirement. You have brought me so much pleasure over the years. When I left Great Yarmouth way, I came to see you every Sunday night. I was so very saddened when Colin died, I still play the video (now on DVD) of his memorial tribute in Liverpool. I was also saddened when Leslie died. The group has never been the same since. I still play a tape of you all in my car. I have loved you all since 63. What memories. Take care.

Love Pam

Happy Birthday Ray. Enjoy your retirement - think it's too soon - love the way you sing Don't make me over - will just have to watch you on you tube from now on. Seen you a few times at Burnham -on- sea November 09 and Solid Silver 60'S show each year. x

Dear Ray
I've seen you twice within the last couple of months at the Solid Sixties Tour...Southampton and Bournemouth. Fabulous!! You made me go all weak at the knees when you sang 'Don't Make Me Over' (and it wasn't just the arthritis! :)
Enjoy your retirement and thank you for giving so much pleasure to myself and all your fans.
Peace and Love
Chrissy
xx
