Ray, great to see you - and meet you - in Darlington last week with Pete Oakman. It was a fantastic show from a true showman and a really nice person. Enjoy your retirement - but with talent like yours, you'll be picking up that guitar again and doing the odd show I am sure!

Dear Ray, you wont remember now but back in 86 i was a naive kid who loved rock and roll - especially the 60's beat groups. i got the chance to roadie / goaf for you guys and DBM%26T for a series of shows in Marbella - place called the Andalucia plaza. the shows were a debacle, there was no promotion and virtually no audience most nights (bar one when Max Bygraves called in) but you guys carried on regardless and played great. i was totally in awe. Aside from this, you Colin and Les were real gents, even putting up with my endless questions about The Cavern and The Beatles. I asked Les one night 'so what was John Lennon really like?' and you butted in and said 'a complete b@stard!'.... was sitting downloading some Jeans tunes tonite and had a flit around on the internet to se if you were still playing... sorry to hear of both Colin and Les's passing.... anyway - hope this last tour is going well - enjoy your big last night - and your retirement! best regards Andy Wilson
